Hello!
Ever since I was little I have lived in Kansas. I wasn't born there, though. Both of my parents were California folks (though my Dad had some Kansas roots) and I was brought into the world with a future of surfboards and San Francisco. Soon after my birth, however, we moved halfway across the country to Kansas and haven't moved back since (though we have visited!) What is it about the Midwest that can take you from the glorious beaches and mountains and make you feel at home among the grassy fields? Maybe it's the open sky that turns into brilliant firey flames at dusk. Or perhaps the soft breeze that rolls across the hills, awakening the trees from their long winter sleep.
Anyway, I just recently graduated high school and am now living with some family friends down in Oklahoma, going to college, and nannying for an awesome family several days a week. This has been such a huge experience for me, and every day I grow to love the red dirt of Oklahoma more. :)
One of my big passions is food and natural medicine, so I will be blogging a lot about that, but I will throw in some fun things like growing up on a farm, book reviews, and whatever random and interesting things that I come across.
So happy you stopped by! :)
